Jana is a mom of emerging teens and has been working with families and children in the community for more than a decade. She has the unique ability to connect at a heart level that is engaging, energetic,

and safe.

 

For families, children, and teens, she moves swiftly and directly with the support needed to grow and heal.

Lindsay kicked off her work in Mental Health more than 8 years ago. She began by working with high intensity families as well as children with behaviors that required quick and creative solution-finding.

 

Her graduate work took place with children amidst the "2020 shutdown." Lindsay's ability to connect, promote growth and change while creating meaningful experiences is astounding.

Lillian's hope is to cultivate an environment where both teens and their parents feel safe to explore the unique issues they face. She wants teenagers to feel validated and have a space where their voices are heard so they can cultivate skills that will help them now, and later in life. 

Prior to becoming a counselor, she worked in Nashville Metro school system, so she has a unique insight into the dynamics and struggles of adolescents.

Lauren's work with teens and young adults is steeped in a self-knowledge and openness that she knows is underdeveloped in most adults, and of course in youth.

 

Through a natural poise of compassion and connection,

she moves you towards a self acceptance that may not look the way you are "supposed" to be, but covered in a grace of who you

truly ARE.

Katie works with teens, young adults, and their parents in a place of discovery, acceptance, guidance and curiosity that opens the door to her client's self knowledge and growth. By incorporating the radical self-acceptance model, trauma work, and strategic training in mindfulness and somatic body awareness, she walks her clients through a new awareness of what their minds are speaking and what their bodies are saying. As the two often are misaligned, the work she facilitates helps to achieve the pursuit of wholeness and acceptance.

Loren brings a wealth of knowledge from her years of working in Community Mental Health. She is well-versed with complex and diverse systems, often presenting

co-morbidities (when more than one big thing is happening at the same time).

 

Loren effectively helps teens and young adults navigate through complex trauma, attachment needs, and the pains they face as they are naturally developing. None present as too great a challenge and her approach is an honest, and solution oriented framework that moves not just the individual, but the family system to a place of healing and repair.​

As a mom of 3 and bonus mom of 2, Kristen is surrounded by teens and kids whom she makes it a point to hold space for whatever it is they are facing. Pain, adversity, shame, identity, and anything in between. Her heart creates an acceptance and respect that allows adolescents to truly unfold the complexities they are facing, without the fear of judgement. She also knows the power and impact parents have with their teens and seeks to invite them into a space of compassion and acceptance that often is rooted in their own fears of rejection and pain as teens.

Katherine has a love for her community and is so thrilled to be a part of Matters of the Heart's Goodlettsville location. Katherine has spent the last year working with children and is passionate about at-risk youth and children in need. 

Katherine specializes in Sand Tray Therapy and Play Therapy.
