Richie Leatherwood, LPC (T)
Temp-Licensed Professional Counselor
Goodlettsville Location & Virtual
Richie was born and raised in Corinth, Mississippi, then to Birmingham, AL to attend Highlands College where he discovered his passion for the art of counseling. He had a mentor who asked him great questions and gave him the space to process without judgment and reinforced thoughts/emotions with wisdom, sober thinking, and an optimistic perspective.

Richie has always had an ear for psychology, and loves learning about people, how they operate, why they do what they do, and think the way they think. Richie has a philosophical side to himself and loves great conversations about the things that matter the most in life. Richie experienced the loss of his mother at a young age and understands the benefit of having a place to process life, emotions, and deep thoughts more than most, especially at a younger age. He is also well aware of the crucial importance that processing life trauma has, and has first-hand experience on how that healing journey looks. With that, he specializes in helping young men, both teens and adults, learn how to develop their emotional intelligence, and listen to their feelings that many have been taught to ignore.
On a lighter note; Richie loves basketball, exercise, going to church, listening to podcasts, nature, time with family, his wife-to-be, and trying new foods. Some of the biggest inspirations in his life are Jordan Peterson, Andrew Huberman, C.S. Lewis, Levi Lusko, and the teachings of Jesus.

Richie is under the Clinical Supervision of Jacob Dye, LPC-MHSP.
Site Supervisor, Jinny Glasco, LCSW.
