Tennessee Tech University
Masters Level Intern
Lauren is in her final semester of pursuing her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Tennessee Tech University. She received a Bachelors degree in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work also at Tennessee Tech University. She is Nashville native and loves to connect with others, regardless of the stage of life they are in.
Throughout Lauren’s years in college, she has developed a passion for mentoring and pouring into girls younger than her, walking with them as they encounter the highs and lows of life. Through this and through older women also pouring into her, Lauren has noticed there is great value in linking arms with others as you walk through trials, hardships, and crises, which has shown her that counseling can be a fulfilling and very beneficial process.
Because she highly values connection and authenticity, one of Lauren’s highest priorities in therapy is to create a safe and relaxed space that allows you to feel comfortable in being open and honest. She wants all people that she meets with to know they are not being judged or overlooked, rather they are welcomed and valued.
As she has learned more about counseling and therapy, Lauren has seen that each individual, couple, and family are unique; because of this, counseling can be different for everyone. Through the counseling process, she wants to work with you to determine what works best for you to accomplish your goals, to resolve challenges, and to grow from where you are now.
