Kaylyn has been working in mental health care since 2019, with experience in case work, hospital and community services, developmental disabilities, and private practice. She enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan and is allied to all gender and sexual identities. Her orientation to therapy is centered around self-acceptance and compassion, using a Person-Centered model and techniques from Mindfulness-based Cognitive therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

Kaylyn knows that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. She believes that each client requires their own individualized approach, based on their unique personality, experiences, and history. Her goal is to empower you to create the change you're looking for, trusting each client to be the expert of their own life. Kaylyn will gently challenge you in the areas where you feel stuck to find creative solutions, using genuineness, empathy, and warmth. The research is clear that the most important element of effective counseling is the RELATIONSHIP, so building authentic connection and trust are Kaylyn’s first priority in session.

Outside the office, you can find her taking long walks with her dog, hitting the gym, watching a show in her favorite sweats, or perusing local antique stores.

Areas of Focus

“You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.”

-Mary Oliver
