In the 15+ years that Joanna has been in the helping profession, it has become her belief that "We all have our own little personal carry-on sized bag of trauma that goes with us wherever we go." In life, sometimes the trauma we have seen is vast, and other times it is a culmination of several small things that reinforce a negative belief that we carry about ourselves. That is the lie that she hopes to help her clients hold captive and reclaim through a place of empowerment and courage to heal.
Zak Shrock, TEMP-LPC
Zak is fully trained in EMDR and has a military background which provides him significant range of understanding the complexities of PTSD and Trauma. Not just for those suffering from the weight of their trauma, but also those who live and love along side them.
Vicarious trauma is hard and requires attention as well as those suffering from PTSD. His work with codependency and recovery, as well as trauma work together well to bring about stages of healing.
Nicole Heckel, MMFT
Nicole has years of experience working with women and their families as they navigate their own life's traumas that have at times landed them in some painful places. Her gentle demeanor and depth of wisdom of complex trauma allows her the ability to sit with you while you begin peeling back the layers of the wounds that you are finally, ready to begin healing.
